EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Allen is an associate at Mandell Menkes. He has defended corporations and individuals in a broad range of commercial cases throughout the United States. Mr. Allen focuses his practice in information technology and commercial contract disputes and he also has extensive experience with cases involving class action claims, ERISA matters, the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Practices Act, and personal injury claims filed against multi-national corporations. Mr. Allen has been intimately involved with all phases of litigation, including initial case investigation, discovery, dispositive motion practice, and the resolution of disputes.
Mr. Allen is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Allen has also appeared before various other courts on a pro hac vice basis.
During law school, Mr. Allen was the vice president and academic chair of the Black Law Students Alliance at the University of Michigan Law School. He was also an article editor for the Journal of Race and Law.
Mr. Allen is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
