EXPERIENCE:
Ms. Callan is a partner at Mandell Menkes. She focuses her practice in the areas of medical malpractice, insurance coverage, commercial and product liability litigation in state and federal courts. Ms. Callan has represented Chicago area hospitals and physicians in several medical malpractice trials. She has also represented insurers and policyholders in multi-million dollar coverage disputes. Ms. Callan has also defended a variety of product liability cases involving hydraulic punch presses, electric saws and automobile seat backs.

Ms. Callan has lectured frequently to various health care organizations on topics involving legal and ethical considerations, such as informed consent and advance directives. She also regularly lectures European reinsurers on topics including punitive damages and mold and gun litigation. She has published articles on the defense of mold litigation and the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Auxiliary Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Callan is admitted to practice in Illinois and Wisconsin, before the United States District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
